Pancakes 3 ways

Pancakes aren’t just for pancake day, no sir! they are also for the other 364 days of the year (not everyday obviously thats quite unhealthy).

I’ve tried a tonne of different recipes, but i’ve mastered and adapted 3 different ways of pancakes; the chocolate chip topped with butter and golden syrup, the blueberry topped with maple syrup and whipped cream & the very different and unfamiliar pancakes topped with black molasses & tahini (don’t eww until you try it, trust me!) all accompanied by a nice big old mug of tea and a side of fresh fruit will surely be the sweetest fix to your morning! keep reading for all the flipping (see what I did there) goodness….

CHOCOLATE CHIP PANCAKES W/ BUTTER & GOLDEN SYRUP

(makes 6-8 pancakes)

What You’ll Need

▪️190g all-purpose flour

▪️3 1/2 tsp baking powder

▪️1 tsp salt

▪️1 tbsp sugar

▪️300ml milk

▪️1 egg

▪️45g butter, melted

▪️50g Chocolate chips

Method

-In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.

-Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter whisk together till smooth
-Heat a greased frying pan over medium high heat.

-Scoop some of the batter using a ladle and pour in to frying pan, using about 1/4 cup for each pancake.

-Brown on both sides layer one on top of the other and top with a dollop of butter and drizzling of golden syrup.

BLUEBERRY PANCAKES W/ MAPLE SYRUP & WHIPPED CREAM

(makes 6-8 pancakes)

What You’ll Need

▪️190g all-purpose flour

▪️3 1/2 tsp baking powder

▪️1 tsp salt

▪️1 tbsp sugar

▪️300ml milk

▪️1 egg

▪️45g butter, melted

▪️75g blueberries

Method

-In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.

-Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter whisk together till smooth then add the blueberries.

-Heat a greased frying pan over medium high heat.

-Scoop some of the batter using a ladle and pour in to frying pan, using about 1/4 cup for each pancake.

-Brown on both sides layer one on top of the other and top with a drizzling of maple syrup & a some whipped cream.

PANCAKES W/ BLACK MOLASSES AND TAHINI DRIZZLE

(makes 6-8 pancakes)

What You’ll Need

▪️3 1/2 tsp baking powder

▪️1 tsp salt

▪️1 tbsp sugar

▪️300ml milk

▪️1 egg

▪️45g butter, melted

▪️1 tbsp of tahini

▪️1 tbsp of black molasses

Method

-In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.

-Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter whisk together till smooth.

-Heat a greased frying pan over medium high heat.

-Scoop some of the batter using a ladle and pour in to frying pan, using about 1/4 cup for each pancake, brown on both sides.

-In a small bowl mix together the tahini & black molasses together. Layer pancakes one on top of the other and top with a drizzling of the tahini and molasses mix.
